Bleeding Heart is the Shadow of Crimson Breeze. She is an extension of Crimson's personality and as such refers to him as "her other self". Despite being a Shadow, she is not malicious like she used to be. After Crimson changed her from a stallion into a mare, her life changed massively.
Heart, as she prefers to be addressed, is a very kind and generous pony. Since Crimson's parents were declared legally deceased, he inherited their considerably large estate. Since Crimson has no need for it, as he wants to avoid a fancy life, Heart now has access to as much of his money as she desires and she is more than happy to spend her money on her friends as well as on herself.
Eventually, Heart was adopted by Midnight and Twillera Love as well as their close friend, Clammy Doo. She spent time living in their castle, but moved out after a while just before she got married.
She is currently married to one Dark Zero and is awaiting the birth of their three foals. She lives in a large house in Ponyville at present, but has another home in the city of Canterbury, and if she needs it, Crimson's house in Canterlot.
In terms of Heart's abilities, she is very proficient in quite a few areas of magic, but is still at an intermediate level in most cases. Her speciality is transformation magic, which is evident due to her ability to manipulate her age through the use of the amulet which she wears around her neck. Her magic has also been used on others. She made the same amulet for her adoptive mother, Midnight. Also, while on her honeymoon with Darky (her pet name for him), she transformed him into a mare for it's duration, which they enjoyed considerably.
