Name- Deus Ingenus Lupus / just Day to friends
Gender- Male
Race- Gem hound
(Well, theirs different kinds of dogs and I figured why not give them all am overarching name)
Age~45-60(unknown, but there about)
Physical Appearance- A much more refined looking hound then the ones seen in the show, albeit a more mean looking one. Being one of the Rubinus Lupus or ruby wolfs in this language, hes a war hound. As such he has thin, strong bone structure that stands higher and lighter then his kin.
Underneath the massively long black cloak the he has on when ever near a city or town, he wears a torn and battered suit of armor. Its seen its share of combat and will probable see more. stinking out of this armor his fur is combed neatly back. Its a sheet gray covering his whole body, lighter patches on his stumic, legs and tail. Save for the white of the scars that ring his body he's well groomed.
His eyes are a deep blue. In them an ember seems to glow with pulsing heat. This are eyes that have burned with hate and madness and weep at blood and pain. They are eyes that have seen to much.
Standing about 5'10'' well hunching (which is most of the time) and about 7' when not. So he towers over ponies all save for the princess, so colossal by ponies standers.
Background Bio- Deus was heralded as a god for being part of the few of his race at could use magic at all, thus he earned his first name. Dues meaning god born. To top that off he was a prodigy. A genus by his tribe's standers but just clever by ponies. Being the smartest hound with in 250 years and blessed by magic Dues naturally distanced himself with his rather dimwitted brothers.
He earned his second name when he found his calling: Smiting. Up to that point, the elders tried force him to take up the blade but he ignored them. He felt what little magic he had call to the clang of the hammer and the heat of the forge and the earth and its elements. Thus he earned his second name. Ingenus, in equestrian it means Fire master or Forge master.
After what would be call his coming of age he set out from his cave and his home with nothing but his tools and the armor he forged for himself to see the world.
To many lands he walked and many things he sees. From the Ice of the north, to the Lands of the dragons, through the deserts of the zebras across the world Sea and finally to Equestria. Deus wished to see the mights of magic and feats of metal work the "ponies" had manged.
Finally after around 20 years of travel, he arrived in this, what he though as the most holy land. He wasn't disappointed on arrival to Canterlot. Magic and metal they had in plenty here. But these ponies called him a monster.
Soon realizing that there was a small faction of his race here. It turned out to be the lost tribe: the Adamas Canis or the diamond dogs we know today.
--------------------------------
You see there are supposedly four tribes of dogs, each as different from the others as earth ponies are to unicorns. According to daring do's latest findings there are the:
Smaragdus Canem or Emerald Hounds- the thinkers and artists
smaller, quicker and smartest of the dogs. Still nothing to Dues.
Rubinus Lupus or Ruby Wolfs- the might of there kind they are the warriors and smiths. As listed above still lighter and stronger then everyone of there kind.
Sapphirus Mixtumque or Sapphire Mongrel- The workers and settlers. The are the most numorus and varied of there kind
and the Lost Tribe. Adamas Canis or the Diamond Dogs
--------------------------------
A year past and at the summer sun celebration came. For the first time the hound saw the goddess Celestia raise the sun. Here was living proof that all the stories were true of a other god were real. With that final thought He swore to himself to becoming a freind to this might being who raised the very sun its self.
its goes with out saying it was a long and grueling year. But he was the master of metal and the true goddess saw was he could do.
For the next 14 years he made armor, and weapons for the best. His crowing acevement was a suit of armor he cutiom made for clestria from star metal. It is said to look like hardened liquid. With the extra star steel Dues forged to things for himself; a Wicked scimitar and a claw gantlet. But very few can claim to have seen it.
He was also a warrior unto none. After a failed raid on a griffin camp at Break Beak point. Deus quit the guard. It was said that his 5 squad mates where ambushed and killed or 4 of them where comfermed dead. the final one, a mare by the name of hot shot, was never found. When asked about her Dues is said to say,"She gave herself in a way that no one should have to... To keep be alive"
When asked about his quitting he gave the answer, "Blood begets Blood, I will no longer stand as the blade but as the shield" It was also noted that after the battle Deus became vegetation. When asked by Celestia herself about why and how he made this decision, he was said to have looked at her in the eye and replied, "I will not brake my oath to she who gave her body to save me." After that he just walked out.
He was last seen in a walking towards Ponyville in hopes of a "retirement". Logs show he was last sighted in the Everfree forest where supposedly you can here the Clang of the hammer hitting the metal.
Personality- Dependents when you met him. If you seek him out, he will be reserved, cool and sometimes anger. But if he meets you then its a diffent story. He will be World-wise, Strong, and more reliable then the armor he is said to make. He also has an endless fascination with magic; after all, the most he can do outside of the forge is lift things. He shows great respect for mares and earth ponies.
He hates fighting, but will take you apart in battle. Literally. He first break you weapon if its made out of metal then he is said to go to work on an enemies body, brutally taking them apart at the joints.
Watch out, theres also three know ways to crack his emotionless shell, his race, his intellect and his loyalty to the goddesses.
(As a small side note some facts of this Biography of Deus Ingenus Lupus may not be exact; as we could not get him in for and interview)
